STORY

Our garden is all about edibility – vegies, herbs, fruit trees, chooks and honeybees. And the battle to do it on a sand dune, which means composting, worm farms, mulching, rainwater harvesting and external inputs from gathered seaweed to cheap urban green waste. Some gardening involves persistence in the face of challenges, but there is also a knack in finding the paths of least resistance. What we would like to show with our garden is what that can look like on the sandiest of all soils and what our trial and error has made us concentrate on and what it has made us give up on.
