GREAT NEWS! 2021 GARDEN HOSTS and TICKET PURCHASERS ARE IN WITH THE CHANCE TO WIN!

We’re pretty excited to announce that once again Waterups have come on board with some great prizes for the Sydney Edible Garden Trail.

Each garden host who opens their garden for the 2021 physical trail will be in the draw to win a WaterUps® Oasis 1240 Wicking Bed. So what are you waiting for? Register your garden now!

We also have a prize opportunity for everyone who purchases a ticket to the self guided physical trail. You’ll go in a separate draw to win a WaterUps® Oasis 1240 Wicking Bed. Buy your ticket now!

Winners will be announced early April after the Physical Edible Garden Trail event (20-21 March, 2021).

“WaterUps® wicking cells are a unique product designed to combat water waste and reduce the maintenance time and water needed for a wide range of growing environments, landscapes, and gardens. Their product, the water-wicking cell, is Australian owned and manufactured in western Sydney from re-cycled plastic

In a similar way to placing a plant pot in a saucer of water to allow the soil to “soak” up the water from below to keep it alive – this action, called capillary action, is the basis of water-wicking.“ This short video explains how WaterUps® work.

Now, WaterUps are also available in a range of self-assemble wicking bed kits that can be conveniently delivered flat packed to your door to help make it even easier to have your very own wicking bed garden (see here for the range)

One version of the kits is the Oasis 1240 Wicking Bed for those gardeners who have a smaller growing area (such as a balcony or small courtyard) or those looking for a great border or smaller bed. (Note:  Dimensions: External – 1265(L) x 465(W) x 450(H). This is the kit that’s on offer as a prize!

The beds are manufactured in Sydney from colorbond® steel and include top and bottom capping rails for greater wall strength. The design includes diecast bevelled corners to eliminate sharp edges.

Just add perlite, potting mix, compost, and your plants and “away you grow”
