The garden has been operating for a year and we have 26 family members, 16 Seniors (over 60) and 16 Individuals as financial members. We hold working bees on Tuesdays from 10am to noon and Sunday’s 9.30 am till mid afternoon – this is where volleys can come along, but garden members come and go during the week.
Our area is half a former bowling green and we also have planted 20+ fruit trees around the perimeter. Currently harvesting tomatoes and zucchinis, lettuce, beans, cucumbers etc but we also have permanent plantings of bits and pieces plus sunflowers, a sensory herb border, sweet corn, melons, yams, soy beans, berries,etc
