Our garden was inspired by a visit to Limestone Permaculture in Stroud NSW several years ago. Their 1 acre permaculture farm is an excellent demonstration in making the most out of a ‘small space’; utilising almost every square cm of land! Our permaculture inspired garden is 4 years old and we have successfully grown and are growing many different varieties of herbs, fruits and vegetables.
We have an over-engineered chicken coop plus run, tunnel and tractor, 9 raised garden beds, 4 no dig beds, 60m of fence which currently grows kiwi, pumpkin, beans and sweet potato vines. We also have a variety of established and establishing trees such as avocados, citrus, feijoa, bananas, mango, figs, finger and desert limes to name but a few. Vegetables we have grown in our various beds include sweet potato, peas, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplants, okra, zucchinis, cucumbers, garden salads (rocket, lettuce etc) carrots, potatoes, ginger, turmeric, plus interesting things such as Okinawa spinach, Yacon (Peruvian ground apple), Madagascar bean, comfrey, sugar cane, bana grass and much more!

We have a dog, ‘Murphy’, who is friendly and some recently arrived European bees that took up residence in the garden!
