What began as a traditional backyard has evolved over several decades into a productive, albeit rather chaotic, edible garden, featuring an intensive mix of raised vegetable & no dig garden beds, a diverse collection of citrus & fruit trees, a banana circle, various native edibles, and herbs.
These are complemented by a variety of pollinator attracting plants, including annuals, perennials, Hoyas, native plants, & whatever else we can squeeze in. My hubby keeps saying there is no more room, but like books…. in my opinion, there is always room for more! 😉
We’re passionate about sustainable living, & recycle through worm farm & dual compost systems to purposely reduce waste & close the nutrient loop by reusing what we can. Its a work in progress & we have a lot more to do.
We’ve found the best part of gardening is definitely community. There’s nothing we love more than sharing our just picked herbs, or swapping seeds, seedlings, fresh produce, &/or jars of homemade jams, relishes, pickles, etc, with our friends, neighbours, & Crop Swap communities.
This is our first year opening for the SEGT & we'd love to welcome you to our garden.
