When we moved in four years ago, the garden was empty aside from large swathes of lawn. It was hot, thirsty and BORING!
Without much knowledge or experience I began planting ornamentals. I tried growing food but it never seemed to work out. Three years later I got sick of it and decided to upskill. I happened across a permaculture course and boy did that change my approach to the garden. Since then the garden itself has transformed. We are slowly but surely replacing lawn with garden beds. Our most recent renovation involved pulling up most of the front lawn. It is now covered in a sprawling pumpkin vine, tomatoes and herbs. It is my dream to feed my family and my community from this garden.
There is still more to do to fully realise my vision for the garden but I’m slowly getting there. I’d love for you to come and see it!
