We wanted to create a small nursery and fruit forest where people could see plants growing, decide what was best for their garden and share ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. We have invited groups and individuals to visit and share.
In spring we are planning to hold workshops for potting and general garden skills.
The fruit forest features bananas, coffee, guavas, jaboticabas, a variety of finger limes and hybrids such as “Red Centre Lime”, three types of lemon aspen, lemon myrtle, antidesma bunius (Bignay), Davidsons plums, native raspberries, macadamia trees, a loquat tree, millaa millaa berries, olive trees, ginger, pineapple and a babaco tree.
Hornsby Heights Plants is a small home nursery built around a house with a terraced fruit forest type garden at the rear. We propagate almost everything including selected exotic plants such as Mandevillas , dwarf coffee and Australian natives including Prostathera , Westringia, Grevillea and Crowea.
