Inspired by Limestone Permaculture in Stroud Road NSW, an excellent demonstration of making the most out of a small space, utilising almost every square cm of land! Our permaculture garden is 5 years old and is home to chickens, European and native beehives. We grow many different varieties of herbs, fruits and vegetables.
We have an over-engineered chicken coop plus run & tunnel, 10 raised garden beds, 4 no dig beds, 60m of vertical grow space, used for pumpkins, beans, etc & a mushroom grow tent. We also have a variety of established and establishing trees such as avocados, citrus, feijoa, bananas, mango, figs, finger and desert limes to name but a few. Vegetables we have grown in our beds include sweet potato, peas, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplants, okra, zucchinis, cucumbers, garden salads (rocket, lettuce etc) carrots, potatoes, ginger, turmeric, plus interesting things such as Okinawa spinach, Yacon (Peruvian ground apple), Madagascar bean, comfrey, sugar cane, bana grass and much more!
Tours running SAT & SUN every 30min!
