Kimbriki’s eco house & garden team members invite all 2022 edible garden trail ticket holders to join them in the eco house and garden, our peaceful and thriving greenspace in the heart of a working ‘tip’!
The eco house & garden design is based on permaculture principles and the 4 R’s – Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Features of the garden include a strawbale composting toilet building, hempcrete demonstration building, propagation nurseries, compost and worm farming areas, eco shop and shaded seating areas.
Saturday 26 March 2022: 9am – 2pm
Kimbriki’s eco house and garden will be open to edible garden trail ticket holders on Saturday 26th March from 9am – 2pm and the eco house and garden team will be running tours and demonstrations at the times listed below:
- 10am – Guided Tour of Eco House & Garden (45 mins)
- 11pm – Worm Farming 101 Demonstration (30 mins)
- 12noon – Guided Tour of Eco House & Garden (45 mins)
- 1pm – Composting 101 Demonstration (30 mins)
Sunday 27 March 2022 7.30am – 4.30pm
The eco house and garden will also be open to ticket holders and the general public to walk through and explore. However, please note the team will not be on site for tours or demonstrations on the Sunday.
