We always had an interest in growing our own food and since we are not a huge fan of lawns and the kids have grown, we decided to dedicate the entire backyard to growing food.
The patches were built by individually placing 260 Besser blocks level on sloping land – not an easy task. Being also tight on space we made our own water tanks from old olive barrels, which collect and hold 2,000L of water and are connected directly to the patches.
We have ducks!
What’s next? Maybe a mini fruit forest.
