My suburban garden is filled with a range of annual and perennial vegetables and several fruit trees. Growing techniques include growing at ground level, in wicking beds and pots. Several compost bins and chickens convert all kitchen and garden scraps into organic material that is returned to the garden, and chickens provide our family with eggs. A worm farm provides nutrient rich 'tea' which feeds the garden, and the chickens bedding is composted to provide organic matter for the garden beds.
With around ten fruit trees and numerous productive garden beds, this garden demonstrates that even smaller backyards can supplement veggies and fruit for a family.
Tours will be held regularly.
