In 2012 a small group of Naremburn residents created our community garden, firstly with just 3 raised beds. We have now expanded to have 6 raised beds, a community composting system, companion planting, banana circle and citrus trees. We have also created two new gardens on other streets to form a local network of gardens, one on Nolan Crescent and one on West street- The Flat Rock garden. Having won a grant from being in the Trail previously we were able to use that money to re construct two of our beds as ‘Water-ups’ wicking beds. Our garden is completely public, no fees, no private beds. Community residents can come by and pick herbs and produce, sit and relax and watch the insects busily pollinating.
