Come and visit an urban permaculture garden set on a typical Sydney block. It was designed 12 years ago following a Permaculture Design Certificate course. It has evolved over the years to include: solar power; 8 water tanks; a grey water system where the water is used in the laundry, to water trees and to flush toilets; banana circles; a worm farm; compost bays; year round food production from gardens at the front, side and back of the house; chickens; a tool shed made entirely from recovered items. Our property is the classroom for food growing workshops we run through various councils for locals and members of a permaculture group. Future plans include adding attractive native plants as food and shelter for native animals.
