My garden is an eclectic mooshup of organic, Maltese Heritage, permaculture principles and experimentation! With its own natural watercourse, and prior to the floods, my garden would be one of only a few in Sydney with this feature. With all the rain, the dampness has been both a blessing and a challenge. The creek is running clear now, but the powdery mildew is flourishing!
My most important mentor is my dad – I am closest to him when in the garden. From front to back I have chookens, fruit, veggies, herbs and flowers. My chookens help in my crop rotation system by aerating, fertilising and recycling household waste. Great googie eggs are a bonus.
